Description: Trypsin is a digestive enzyme commonly used in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical procedures. Its digestive properties are in many cases required as a pretreatment, prior to the primary antibody application, to produce a signal with certain protein-antibody interactions. It is found more useful than boiling pretreatments for antibodies such as AE3 and AE1/AE3. This product is provided in a ready-to-use (2 component) system.
Staining Protocol: - Combine Trypsin concentrate with buffer in 1:3 (one part to three parts) for a working solution of 0.125% Trypsin solution.
- Incubate the Trypsin mixture on the tissue section for 10 minutes at 37°C.
- Rinse with cool buffer solution to stop the digestive action, and proceed with remainder of immunohistochemical protocol (i.e. application of the primary antibody)
Storage: Store at 2-8°C. Product is stable for 18 months from date of manufacture.
Precautions: Do not pipette reagent by mouth. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash after use. Observe all federal, state and local environmental regulations regarding disposal.
