BCIP/NBT for Western Blot (Ready to Use)

Description: BCIP/NBT (5-Bromo-4-chloro-3-Indolyl Phosphate/Nitroblue Tetrazolium) is a refrigerator-stable, single component solution for immunohistochemical, in situ hybridization, Western, Northern and Southern blot procedures. This reagent is specifically formulated for use with Alkaline Phosphatase enzyme systems. BCIP/NBT produces a purple reaction product that is soluble in alcohol.

Staining Protocol:

  1. Apply solution to tmembrane.
  2. Incubate tfor 10 minutes or until the desired bands appear on the membrane.
  3. Stop reaction by transferring the membrane into distilled water.

Storage: Store at 2-8°C. Each component is stable for 18 months.
