Compare different antibodies against Melanoma Marker.
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Description: Melanoma associated antigens recognized by autologous cytotoxic T cells include MART-1, MAGE-1, MAGE-3, tyrosinase, gp100, gp75, BAGE-1, and GAGE-1.
Comments: Ab-1 is a cocktail of anti-gp100 (HMB45) and MART-1 antibodies. By immunohistochemistry, Ab-1 recognizes melanocytes and melanomas. This MAb cocktail reacts with junctional and blue nevus cells and with fetal and neonatal melanocytes. It does not stain tumor cells of epithelial, lymphoid, glial, or mesenchymal origin. Ab-1 labels melanotic as well as amelanotic variants of melanomas. Ab-1 is extremely sensitive for labeling formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded melanomas and other tumors showing melanocytic differentiation.
